San Diego State University leads the University of Nevada at Reno 23-17 in what has been an exciting game at Qualcomm Stadium. The Aztecs have looked impressive on offense, especially in their 37-second, 64-yard touchdown drive at the end of the first half.
Freshman running back Donnel Pumphrey has rushed for 91 yards on 6 carries. Junior running back Adam Muema has rushed for 31 yards and one touchdown on 11 carries. Junior quarterback Quinn Kaehler has played great, completing 11 of 15 passes for 180 yards and a 25-yard touchdown pass.
Nevada has played very well, too. Junior quarterback Cody Fajardo is 13-17 for 151 yards and a touchdown. Nevada’s running backs have gained 108 yards on the ground and pounded in one touchdown.
