Skating restrictions are in place throughout campus, reserving bike and skate lanes for those who wish to take manual vehicles besides walking. Skating tickets can be more than $50 when riders are caught skating outside the designated lanes. However, students can be seen skating all around campus with irreverence toward the lanes. All poll respondents were asked if SDSU should do away with skateboarding restrictions with no penalties, or crack down harder. 595 respondents answered the question with more than 45% wanting penalties on skateboards to be lifted.
