Spice up the season with fall fashion

It seems as if fall will just not come around this year. Transitioning into fall fashion is always exciting, but it is hard to do so with this warm weather. The good news is the weather is cooler once the sun goes down!

Here are some key pieces and tips to dress for fall while also beating the heat.

Topshop Button Front Chambray Shirt.

This is one of my absolute favorite pieces in my closet. It is so lightweight and versatile. Wear it buttoned up or down over any simple tank or tee. Dress it up or down with skinny jeans and sandals or booties.

White is a great color to wear with any shade of denim whether it is light or dark blue, black or grey.

Tobi Sign on the Dot Dress.

T-shirt dresses are a simple, yet cute ways to dress. A dress thrown on with a pair of sandals or combat boots gets you ready for a full day of school or a casual outing with friends.

Stripes are always a fun pattern to throw on for effect. This lightweight T-shirt dress from Tobi, $30, is great for a hot fall day.

It is super lightweight and if there is a bit of a chill, just throw on a cardigan or a denim jacket. If you’re feeling edgy, pair it with a leather jacket and a fall colored scarf! Basic colors like grey make it easy to add additional pieces.

Another similar look is a tunic over skinny jeans. This type of outfit is bearable for a hot fall day. Add a scarf to get the full fall effect!

Edgy leather jacket.

Speaking of a leather jacket…it is probably one of the best staple pieces in your closet. There are so many great looks you can put together with it. One of my absolute favorite looks is a leather jacket over a basic tee, ripped denim and a pair of booties. It is also super easy to add a scarf for when it gets chilly at night.

Cozy sweaters.

Oversized sweaters are overly comfortable and cute. There are always great fall colors out there to dress more like the season. They look super cute over ripped jeans or even dressed up with a black or grey midi skirt for a simple, chic look.

Nordstrom BP. has great sweaters to stock up on like this BP. Textured Knit Pullover for $38!

Cardigans.

They are such a valuable layering piece. Your cardigan adds a statement to any basic outfit fit for any temperature. Simply throw it over your T-shirt dress or your basic tee and call it a day!

Ripped denim.

To ‘Topshop’ it all off, try high-waisted jeans from Topshop. Once you buy one pair, I promise you’ll be going back for more. They are so comfortable and fitted and look great with anything you wear. They always have new shades and styles to keep you on your toes.

I’m personally a ‘Jamie’ but other great styles are Joni and Leigh. Check out this ripped grey pair to emphasize your fall fashion-forward outfit!
