Tiger to watch: 1996 second team All-American Greg Wakehan leads Pacific with 38 kills, 13 digs and a .517 hitting percentage.
Cardinal to watch: After taking a year off to play in the Olympics, Mike Lambert gives top-ranked Stanford height (6-feet-6) as well as experience (senior). He leads the team in kills and is second in blocks and third in digs.
Dig it: The young Aztec team hasn’t played in 10 days, and tonight begins a stretch in which it will play 10 matches in 29 days. Included in that time are matches against five top-10 teams.
