Aztecs Update: SDSU opens with four games within a 24-hour period.Head coach Kathy Van Wyk enters her fourth season thrilled about thepotential of this year’s team.

“We’re really excited,” Van Wyk said. “We’ve got a talented groupwho should elevate our program to a new level.”

The Aztecs return 10 players, including Sandra Durazo, the team’sbest pitcher. In 1999 she set a school record with 18 wins. Othermembers of the rotation could include sophomores Korin Gregory,Tiffany Goudy and freshman Olivia Catron.
