It’s easy to dismiss the film “Dreamgirls” as the most hyped, glittery movie of the holiday season. After all, it was generating Oscar buzz before the trailer even appeared in movie previews.

But dismissing “Dreamgirls” as superficial entertainment should not be done.

The film sparkles unlike any movie this year, musical or otherwise. It has the makings of box office success and should win over the hearts of an audience.
