T he Daily Aztec “Today” column lists on-campus as well as off-campus events as a service to the San Diego State University students, faculty, staff and community.
Campus clubs, organizations, departments and local community groups may submit written entries to The Daily Aztec City Desk in the basement of the Business Administration and Mathematics building, Room BA 2. Entries may be faxed to 594-7277, attn: City Desk. Requests will not be taken over the phone.
Entries must contain the full name of the club, organization or group, a brief description of the event or service, time, date, full address of the location, event fee, if applicable, and a telephone number for readers requesting more information.
Submissions are published on a space-available, first-come, first-served basis. The Daily Aztec reserves the right to turn down entries. All submissions are subject to editing for content, space and clarity. Incomplete or illegible entries will be rejected.
The deadline for entries is 11 a.m. two days before publication. For Monday issues, the deadline is Friday at 11 a.m. “Today” runs on Mondays and Thursdays.
Today on campus
SDSU Jazz Combo II will perform at noon on Monty’s Patio.
David Faber will speak on his World War II experiences at 3 p.m. in Student Services, Room 1401.
Dr. Khallid Muhammad will speak on the subject “Not Out of Europe” at 7 p.m. in Montezuma Hall.
The Political Science Club will show “Nixon.” Free refreshments will be served at 7 p.m. in Hepner Hall, Room 221.
“Disease and National Identity: Lessons for the 21st Century” will be held at 7 p.m. in Adams Humanities, Room 4176. The lecture is free.
Tuesday on campus
The Campus Children’s Center is celebrating the Week of the Young Child. Morning preschool sessions will be held today and tomorrow during “Day on the Lawn” from 9 to 11:45 a.m. on the Scripps Cottage lawn. The event is sponsored by the San Diego State Friends of the Children’s Center Organization.
Shotakan Karate Club will perform at noon on Monty’s Patio.
“Hell To Pay,” part of the Ventana Latina Film Series, will be shown at 7:30 p.m. in Hepner Hall, Room 130.
