Does the men’s basketball team’s loss to Indiana in the NCAA Tournament put a damper on what it has accomplished this season?
“It (the season) is still good, you know? They improved on what they did last year, and if everybody comes back next year, they’re going to go even further.”
-Jerome Green, business sophomore
“I don’t think it put a damper on their success. I think they did a lot better than they did last year, and the games were so much more fun to go to.”
-Jasmine Raney, pre-nursing freshman
“They were doing a real good job up until recently and a lot of people, including myself, are real disappointed with what we saw the last game. It was exciting for a while, but I think they can do better next season.”
-Jeff Milber, economics senior
“This definitely does not put a damper on the season because this team has accomplished more in San Diego State history than any other team before, and it gave them what they need for next year. They got good tournament experience, so next year they’ll learn how to close out a game, and with everyone coming back we’ll be looking forward, not back.”
-Louis Shoneff, journalism senior
“I don’t think the season was a loss at all. I think it was real success. I mean, it’s not often that San Diego State goes to the NCAA Tournament. So, I believe we did pretty well, we had a good home standing, we played good on the road. Just because we lost in the first round doesn’t mean it was a complete loss.”
-Anthony Hackett, criminal justice junior
“I think the Aztecs did pretty well this season even though they lost because, seeing their record, they did much better than past teams.”
-Jonathan Quilon, chemistry freshman
