On Nov. 17, 1981, 14 million viewers tuned in to ABC for what was later dubbed the “wedding of the year” when Luke Spencer married Laura Baldwin on “General Hospital.” On Nov. 19, 1990, it was discovered that Milli Vanilli was a fraud — that they had not sung the melodies on their “Girl You Know It’s True” album. The duo was stripped of their Grammy Award. On Nov. 21, 1980, the famous “Who Shot J.R.?” episode of “Dallas” aired on CBS, garnering the highest TV rating at the time. Internationally, more than 100 million viewers watched the episode.
