Cesar E. Chavez’s Legacy for the Present Lecture
11 a.m. to noon, Malcolm A. Love Library, Room 430
As part of the month-long Cesar E. Chavez Civic Responsibility Series, Cecilia Puerto, Latin American/Mexican American studies librarian, will offer a brief talk on the library’s Chicano/a Studies Collection. Also, there will be a lecture by Richard Griswold Del Castillo, Ph.D., professor and chair of the Chicano/a studies department.

Lecture Performance related to the film “Alambrista”

David Carrasco and Jose Cuellar (Dr. Loco) will explain the usage of music and words and their implications for Mexicans and Chicana/os as related to the 1977 film “Alambrista,” as part of the month-long Cesar E. Chavez Civic Responsibility Series.
