Spring has officially arrived, and while that usually entails yellows, reds and oranges galore, I can still appreciate a predominantly black outfit to welcome the season. This Fashionista’s tribal-inspired blazer made me forget about all things flowery and pastel as I lusted after the dark boldness of her ensemble. I caught up with Franziska to talk about her style and, of course, where she got that amazing blazer!

Name: Franziska Schroeder

Year: Senior

Major: Hospitality and Tourism Management

CollegeFashionista: I absolutely love your blazer! Where did you find it?

Franziska Schroeder: I got it in Germany at H&M!

CF: Are there any trends or specific styles that you love right now?

FS: I love the bohemian style, and all the vintage things but I also like the rock ‘n’ roll thing. I like to dress up a little fancy.

CF: Are there any colors that you are really into this season?

FS: Oh, I’m all into black. I think you can wear black in the day or at night and everywhere. It’s a great basic.

CF: If you could shop anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

FS: I would go to London and Paris. It’s very chic and you can always find something special.

How To: Recreate this Fashionista’s look yourself by going to modcloth.com for a similar unique blazer. You can also visit Forever 21 for a longer version of the jacket that keeps with the tribal theme. Match the blazer with a simple black shirt and black skinny jeans, both of which can be found at Zara. Finish the look off with a pair of leather or suede flat boots. This is also a great look for a night out — dress the look up by slipping on a pair of black or nude heels.
