The Electric Factory turns manic on Saturday for Seals Mania, as the San Diego Seals will face off against the Buffalo Bandits at 7 p.m. The final whistle of the night won’t just signal the end of the game, though. When the whistle blows, the field crew will storm the turf to transform it into a wrestling ring for a 20-man Royal Rumble.
Confused? It’s exactly what it sounds like. Seals Mania is set to slam two professional sports into one blow-out night, melding the National Lacrosse League (NLL) with the Future Stars of Wrestling (FSW) for the ultimate sports crossover.
“The Seals are incredibly excited to host Seals Mania Night and merge the worlds of professional box lacrosse and professional wrestling,” said VP of game presentation and content Mike Grace. “There are a lot of parallels between the two and we see a lot of crossover in the fan bases.”
Both box lacrosse and wrestling are extremely physical, fast-paced and above all, a visual spectacle. And the Seals fans that live for the brawls of indoor lacrosse will get more than their fair share of entertainment during the rumble — all without having to worry about any of the Seals ending up on the injured reserve.
The crossover isn’t only between the fanbases; even the athletes themselves are looking forward to getting a glimpse of the other’s world.
“We’re really excited for Saturday night,” said FSW pro Danger Ross. “I grew up on the East Coast, so I know all about lacrosse but have never been to an indoor lacrosse game, so I’m excited to watch the Seals play and do their thing.”
Ross is listed as one of the 20 names on the FSW card, amongst other professionals like Livewire Charlie, Mathias and Chris Masters. WWE superstar The Miz will also be in the Electric Factory for a pre-game meet and greet. The proceeds are benefiting Rady Children’s Hospital, the event’s title partner.
“Hopefully we can create a lot of new fans for wrestling and turn a whole bunch of wrestling fans into Seals fans,” Ross said. “We can’t wait.”
Back to the Bandits, the Seals are looking for revenge on the Buffalo team that ended their 2025 season with a 5-4 scoreboard — the lowest-scoring playoff matchup in NLL history. The Bandits are currently No. 7 in the standings at 7-6, just one game ahead of the No. 8 Seals, who are at 6-7.
With only the top eight teams making it to the playoffs and the Las Vegas Desert Dogs biting at the Seals’ tails from one game behind, the Seals will be keen to add the win to their tally and tie up the Bandits’ record.
“You’ve got us playing the Bandits, who we’re hungry to face and owe some payback to after they ended our season last year in the playoffs, and then you have the Royal Rumble to top it off,” said Seals’ faceoff specialist Trevor Baptiste. “You couldn’t ask for a more exciting night.”
The Seals are coming off a three-game losing streak, including last week’s hard-fought rematch against the Saskatchewan Rush (10-9). They’re due for a win if they want to keep their top-eight spot, and will be looking for rock-solid performances from keeper Chris Origlieri and leading goal-scorers Tre Leclaire (27), Dylan Watson (19) and Wes Berg (18).
NLL matchups are already full to the brim with action — music, sound effects, dancers, halftime performances — and a 20-man rumble might be the final form to break the water tension.
