My heart is in my stomach:
Flip through some pictures of my travels, and you will quickly notice a pattern — there’s always at least one photo in which I’m stuffing my face. Shamelessly.
OK, I love food. But I know I’m not alone. Who doesn’t love to be surrounded by delicious food and a great vibe?
The good thing is that San Diego has plenty of that. With the city’s diverse culture and thriving young adult life, the choices are endless — and since eating is one of my favorite pastimes, I’ve been lucky enough to find many worthy of mention. Every Wednesday I’ll be sharing my favorite local hotspots that are sure to impress your taste buds. From the burger joint near the beach that even tourists have to stop by to the trendy bar and grill near the baseball stadium, San Diego has many tasty dishes to offer. Maybe I can persuade you to try one or two.
Best meal I ever had:
It was a small Italian restaurant — less than 10 tables — in a suburb of Amsterdam. Absolutely everything was tasty, the atmosphere felt soothing and authentic and the chef even shook my hand on our way out the door. I never thought the best Italian food I’d ever have would be in The Netherlands but, hey — I’ve never been to Italy.
Last 5 restaurants I dined at:
1. Chiba Sushi
2. Sushi Deli 2
3. Claim Jumper
4. Rosati’s Pizza, Tucson, AZ
5. Lolita’s Taco Shop, Chula Vista, CA
