Music Event4:30 to 6 p.m., Aztec Center StarbucksCome check out Travis Maril perform while you grab a latte and enjoy the sounds of his viola. Not to be confused with a violin, the viola is larger in size and is tuned exactly one-fifth below the violin. You can hear the difference today at the event, which is part of the San Diego State music department’s Adams Project Series.

Powerade Jam Fest7 p.m., Peterson GymAs a part of the McDonald’s All-American High School Basketball Games, the jam fest will showcase slam dunk, 3-point and shootout contests. There to judge the players will be San Diego Chargers players LaDainian Tomlinson and Shawn Merriman, as well as WNBA star Nikki McCray.

Tuesday:

Azfest10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Aztec Central GreenThe event will include activities, special events, food, games and information booths from different student organizations on campus. Along with many others, there will be a wax-hands booth, karaoke contest, and a booth-decorating contest. The gathering will take place through Thursday.
