The San Diego State crew team looks to continue its early success this weekend when it competes in two events on Saturday and Sunday.
Starting off at the Port of Sacramento Saturday against UC Davis, and following with another event at Lake Natoma in Rancho Cordova, Calif. against Sacramento State (on Sunday), SDSU will be experimenting with its lineup as they tune up for the stretch drive of its spring season.
“(I’m) looking forward to seeing how the team will compete with some changes in the next couple of events,” head coach Jennifer Zebroski said.
The Aztecs adjustments will be key against the Aggies and the Hornets. Both schools were triumphant in the beginnings of their respective spring campaigns, each placing first in three races.
The arduous weekend will likely serve as a barometer for how SDSU will fare through the rest of the season.
In facing different teams head-to-head, as opposed to competing in tournaments against a number of teams, the Aztecs will be partaking in dual competition for the first time since 2003.
