Aztecs update: At 2-0, SDSU is off to its best start since1995-96. Four Aztecs scored in double figures in Tuesday night’s77-62 win over New Mexico State. Junior Randy Holcomb is averaging14.5 points in his first two games at SDSU, scoring all 14 againstNMSU in the second half. Karlo Kovacic hit 4-of-7 3-pointers andMyron Epps was 5-of-10 from the floor as each scored 14. DeandreMoore added 10 points and nine assists while Al Faux had nine pointsand six rebounds off the bench. Marcelo Correa is 9-for-9 from thefloor this season.

Bulldogs update: FSU is coming off a 82-63 win over North CarolinaState last Wednesday in which the Bulldogs shot 51 percent from thefloor. Five Bulldogs scored in double figures: Chris Jeffries 19,Melvin Ely 17, Dennis Nathan 13, Demetrius Porter 13 and TravisDemanby 10. FSU was coming off a 87-74 loss to St. Bonaventure, ateam that earlier defeated NMSU. Last season, the Bulldogs returnedto the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1984 after winning 24games under head coach Jerry Tarkanian. However, last year’s NCAAscoring champion, Courtney Alexander, is gone as is the school’s No.2 all-time scorer, Terrance Roberson.
