Bad Santa Opens Wednesday, Nov. 26. Pick up tickets at The Daily Aztec office for a special screening of Bad Santa, a film about two con-men who dress up as an elf and jolly old Saint Nick. The advanced screening for this film will be at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19 at Madstone Theaters in Hazard Center. Starring Billy Bob Thorton and Bernie Mac, the film is rated “R” for persuasive language, strong sexual content and some violence. The Cat in the Hat Opens Friday, Nov. 21. Based on the original kiddy book by Dr. Seuss, The Cat In Hat tells the tale of little Conrad (Spencer Breslin), Sally (Dakota Fanning) and their crazy feline babysitter – the infamous Cat in the Hat (played by SNL funny-man Mike Myers). Rated “PG” for mild crude humor and some double-entendres. Gothika Opens Friday, Nov. 21. In this film, criminal psychologist Miranda Grey (Halle Berry) is accused of a murder she can’t even remember committing. Also starring Robert Downey Jr. and Penelope Cruz, Gothika is rated “R” for violence, language and brief nudity. 21 Grams Opens Friday, Nov. 21. Starring acclaimed actor Sean Penn, 21 Grams tells the story of a mathematician with a terminal illness who is faced with a freak accident that changes his life forever. Rated “R” for language, sexuality, some violence and drug usage.
