“Buk Fidy” charged for felony vandalism
Former Associated Students presidential candidate Kris “Buk Fidy” Korsgaden was arrested and transported to county jail last week as a result of the damage caused by stickers used in his presidential campaign. The stickers, were abnormally adhesive and caused more than $4,600 in damage to the surfaces which they were removed from. It took 22 days for campus maintenance to remove all of the SuperGlued stickers. Korsgaden has since been bailed out of county jail.
Disturbing the peace at Alvarado Apartments
At 1:45 a.m. last Saturday, two Finnish residents leapt from a taxi in front of Alvarado Apartments and fled through nearby bushes in an attempt to avoid paying their cab fare. Police were contacted and discovered the two men were residents in the apartment complex, and quickly made contact with them. Adro Jaaskelainen, 23, and Tuamas Koivvsalo, 22, were arrested for public intoxication, shortly after paying for their taxi ride.
Kidnapping on College Avenue
Last Sunday, police made contact with a woman at the Motel 6 on Alvarado Road, who reported being kidnapped by as many as 10 males at the intersection of College Avenue and El Cajon Boulevard. One of the male suspects reportedly had a Red ID, whether anyone involved is a current San Diego State student is unconfirmed. Details about the kidnapping remain unclear.
