As promised, The Daily Aztec is bringing you new things this year, including our newest blog, J.A.M. (Just Another Music Blog).

What’s it about? At this point it’s safe to say music — but, more importantly, J.A.M. is your online source for music news, reviews, videos, mp3s, giveaways and more.

It will feature bands from around campus and throughout the city, reviews of shows played in local venues and raves and rants from three of the biggest music lovers you’ll ever meet — Jack, Trent, and our Entertainment Editor, Drew Scoggins.

J.A.M. aims to be something you can read quickly to learn about a new artist you might have missed.  Or, you can catch up on musicians of the past you may have never heard of with the weekly feature, Record Rewind, every Wednesday.

On Fridays, you’ll get some up-to-date news from around the web on big name musicians.

You can check out Trent’s and Jack’s profiles on the J.A.M. page and learn everything from how Jack was delivered by a crane, to what was Trent’s first album.
