On March 8, the San Diego State Bookstore sent out a student-wide email regarding the change to a new, recycled and green cover for examination books, also known as Blue Books.

The email said the books will include recycled writing paper, containing 30% post-consumer waste as well as recycled green printed cover pages.

According to the university, the bookstore was made aware of the availability of testing books printed on recycled green paper and this prompted the switch to the most sustainable option while keeping the price and sizes the same as the original Blue Books.

Students can find the new examination books in the SDSU Bookstore and Aztec Market locations across campus where the Blue Books were previously sold.
