Sexual assault on Montezuma Road and 63rd Street
Police received a report of an abduction at a party on 63rd Street and Montezuma Road leading to a sexual assault early Sunday morning. The San Diego State and San Diego City Police Departments are investigating the incident, although at press time no arrests had been made.
Reportedly, the victim was talking to three men at a house party between the hours of midnight and 1 a.m., at which time the suspects asked her to step outside with them to continue the conversation.
Once outside, the suspects forced her into a car and drove her to an unknown location where two of the three men sexually assaulted her, according to SDSUPD. She was returned to the house she was originally abducted from. According to SDPD, she then checked into a nearby hospital, but reportedly sustained no injuries.
The three suspects were described as black males, two of which were specified as being college-aged, each about 5 feet 10 inches weighing approximately 160 pounds, with fit builds and wearing white T-shirts and short pants.
In a crime alert issued to students Sunday morning, SDSUPD cautioned students to “be aware of their surroundings, avoid dimly lit locations, avoid alcohol consumption to the point of impairment and immediately report suspicious activity to the police department.”
Capt. Andrew Mills of SDPD also advised students to be cautious when going out at night.
“As a father of three college-age daughters, I would urge everyone, male and female, to be safe, aware of their surroundings and to drink responsibly,” Mills said.
Anyone with information about the incident should contact SDSUPD at 619-594-1991 or via email at police.mail@sdsu.edu. Those wishing to remain anonymous may contact Crime Stoppers at 619-235-8477.
