Crime on campus

    Handgun on Campus

    At 4:59 a.m. on Dec. 5, two black males revealed a handgun as they ran toward a man parking a motorcycle in Parking Structure 1. He was able to drive away before they reached him. Both suspects were about 6 feet tall; one was wearing a gray short-sleeved shirt and had curly black hair. The other was wearing a black hoodie and jeans.

    Reported Battery

    At 12:34 p.m. on Dec. 5, a battery was reported to the San Diego State Police Department. A woman approached a man who appeared to need help. She was pushed up against a pillar at Manchester Hall; the man said, “Hey baby, what’s your name?” and touched her hand. He is described as black, about 27 years old with facial hair and was wearing a black beanie and a black coat. He was seen walking toward the Aztec Student Union.

     Theft in Parking Structure 3

    At 2:20 p.m. on Dec. 6, a vehicle burglary was reported to have taken place between 1 p.m. and 2:15 p.m. in Parking Structure 3. A backpack, wallet, gifts and groceries were stolen from the vehicle through a smashed window.

    Intoxicated Attack 

    At 12:32 a.m. on Dec. 8, it was reported that an intoxicated male had attacked someone at the Calpulli Center on Hardy Avenue. The man was described as Hispanic wearing a white shirt and black pants. He was transported to Scripps Mercy Hospital by ambulance.
