Stocks continued to increase yesterday after hopes that European officials could come to a solution about European debt. As of press time, San Diego-based stocks Sempra Energy and Qualcomm Incorporated were up 1.99 percent and 1.66 percent respectively.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 228 points at 11,279 after a 272 point gain on Monday. The S&P 500 Index is up 2.18 percent at 1,188 and the Nasdaq is higher by 1.84 percent at 2,562.95.
Gold value is increasing after a sizeable decrease during the past few days. It is currently trading at $1,654 an ounce and bond yields on the 10-Year Treasury note continued to increase to about 1.988 percent.
