September 21st marks the first official day of fall. It’s hard to believe the sun has set on another summer making way for colorful leaves, charming Pumpkin Spice Lattes, cozy blankets and of course, cute fall fashions!

1. Python
Watch out cheetah spots and zebra stripes! Fall is welcoming a new print on the fashion block: python. Courtesy of the animal kingdom, this design can add a little extra “bite” to your overall look. Feeling a bit daring? Choose the print in a bright and vibrant color like emerald or opt to be cool, calm and collected with a more natural hue. For those who may be a bit timid for this look, you may want to consider sticking with accents of this feisty print by simply topping off a basic topic with a python-printed scarf or bag.

2. Studs
Studs are no longer only reserved for those Hot Topic teens and their angst. Trendy fashion mavens are getting in on the “studded” action, too! This rocking detail has been appearing on collared blouses, belts, jackets, handbags and even, sweaters. Studs add a little extra edge to a look. For those who are crafty (in a good way), you can revamp some of your worn items with a few added studs from your local craft store. Don’t be afraid to be creative!

3. Lace
Lace has a lady-like reputation in the fashion world and this sweet, summer trend is sticking around to the cooler autumn months. Its forms and patterns have changed over time (since its humble beginnings in the 15th and 16th centuries), but it remains a classic choice for feminine trendsetters. This textured fabric offers a lot of versatility regarding styling. Keep a lace top sweet with a string of pearls around your neck or add a studded belt to a lace dress to balance the elegance with some attitude. The studs add that extra kick to let people know that you may be sweet, but not THAT sweet.
