With the return of cold weather to San Diego, the boots, leggings and sweater uniform of college females can be seen everywhere on campus. This season, a new clothing item has been added to this typical ensemble–the military jacket. This coat is generally army-green in color and has pockets to spare, making it both cute and utilitarian.

In fashion, it’s important to be both trendy and unique. This season, rock the military jacket, but on your own terms. Don’t blend into the sea of olive. Instead, choose coats that feature one-of-a-kind elements such as leather details, floral panels or cheeky statements.
