The San Diego State Aztecs are leading the University of Hawaii Rainbow Warriors 10-7 at halftime at Qualcomm Stadium.
Like they have all year, the Aztecs have found their success on the ground. Sophomore running back Donnel Pumphrey has nine carries for 57 yards and a touchdown. Junior Chase Price has four carries for 13 yards. And redshirt-freshman Marcus Stamps is seeing some action tonight with two carries for 38 yards.
SDSU’s defense has held Hawaii to just 141 yards of total offense. If it weren’t for a miraculous, third-and-15 39-yard touchdown pass from Hawaii sophomore quarterback Ikaika Woosley to sophomore wide receiver Marcus Kemp, the Aztecs would have shut out the Rainbow Warriors in the first half.
