Students were asked to rank their political ideology based on a spectrum from left-wing, liberal, moderate, conservative and right-wing. Out of 729 total surveys, 635 fully answered the question. 43% of students identified as leaning liberal on the slider scale, ahead of the second-highest, moderate-leaning at around 32%. Both of these were the two front running ideologies compared to left-wing (14%), conservative (9%) and right-wing (1.5%).
Students were then asked to identify with their political party registration with 56% identifying as a Democrat, 25% identified as Independent or No Party Preference, 12.6% identified as Republican and all other parties combined for almost 6%.
