While Hillary Clinton was campaigning on campus Friday, several other presidential candidates were trying to drum up support around the country.
Barack Obama (Dem.)Obama, the only other remaining Democratic candidate, was in Wilmington, Del., yesterday while his wife, Michelle, held a rally at UCLA with Oprah Winfrey and Caroline Kennedy. Obama’s “Stand for Change” rally will make stops in Boston and East Rutherford, N.J., today. Mitt Romney (Rep.)Clinton wasn’t the only candidate to visit San Diego; Romney was a few miles away in Downtown San Diego on Thursday. This was the final California stop for the Republican candidate, who was in Long Beach and Fountain Valley earlier that day. Romney went to Colorado on Friday, Minnesota on Saturday, and was in Missouri yesterday. Mike Huckabee (Rep.)Huckabee also made a stop in San Diego, holding a media availability event on Thursday before heading to Oklahoma, Arkansas and Missouri on Friday. Huckabee, the former governor of Arkansas, stayed in the South this weekend, campaigning in Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee.
John McCain (Rep.)McCain held a Finance Breakfast in San Francisco and a Finance Reception in Los Angeles on Thursday, then flew to Dover, Del., St. Louis and Chicago on Friday. Like Huckabee, McCain also hit the South this weekend, visiting Nashville, Tenn. Birmingham, Ala., and Atlanta. He will be in Boston today for a GOTV rally, his final stop before Super Tuesday. McCain will be in San Diego tomorrow at 1 p.m. for another GOTV rally. at JimsAir Aviation.
Ron Paul (Rep.)Paul campaigned in Tennessee, Georgia and his home state, Texas, on Saturday. The fourth Republican candidate is holding events in North Dakota today and finishing up his “Hope for America” rally tour at the University of Minnesota tonight.
