Man Cited for Lewd Act in Love Library
A 51-year-old non-student was arrested on campus for conducting a lewd act in public.
According to reports, a student saw the man, Angelo Sua, fondling himself through his clothing on the fourth floor of Love Library on March 26 at 10:15 p.m.
She notified the circulation desk.
The suspect left the library and University Police found him at the transit center, where he was identified by the witness.
Sua was cited and released.
Student injured in car accident
An SDSU student was injured in a single vehicle accident in the first level of Parking Structure III on March 24.
According to reports, the student was attempting to exit the structure at 9 p.m., made a sharp turn around a corner and hit a concrete pillar.
The driver lost consciousness and later complained of chest pains. The victim was transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital by paramedics.
Reports indicated the front of the car suffered major damage.
Non-student arrested on vehicle theft charges
A non-student was arrested on campus for several offenses, including resisting arrest, auto theft and possession of burglary tools.
Officers stopped Chris Nelson, of the 2000 block of Pemrose Street, on the second level of Parking Structure V on March 27 after observing him allegedly moving items from the trunk of a parked car into another vehicle.
He was detained on suspicion of auto burglary. When officers tried to conduct a pat-down for weapons, Nelson allegedly attempted to flee.
Officers physically forced him to the ground and took him into custody.
A records check determined the Toyota Camry Nelson had been driving was stolen.
Officers also found burglary tools in the vehicle.
Nelson was arrested for possession of burglary tools, vehicle theft and resisting arrest.
Officers are investigating if this incident is associated with other burglaries on campus.
Non-student arrested for possessing knife
A non-student was arrested near campus for possession of a concealed weapon.
Police responded to a report of two subjects arguing loudly in the east alley of 5000 College Avenue at 2:58 p.m. on April 7.
According to reports, when police arrived at the scene, one of the men, Frank Lopez, 21, of the 3300 block of Enteorth Way, started to walk away.
He then allegedly dropped something and stopped to pick it up. Officers detained him and found a metal dagger.
Reports indicated because the dagger was not in plain sight when officers arrived, Lopez was arrested for possession of a concealed weapon.
Police say student stole $45
An Aztec Shops student employee was arrested for petty theft on March 28.
The student, Joseph Deas Jr., was observed by Loss Prevention Agents taking $45 from a cash drawer in the campus bookstore, according to police reports.
Reports said the employee had received a cash drawer at the beginning of his shift with $145. Usually, employees are given drawers with $100.
Before Deas returned the drawer at the end of the night, he allegedly had taken the extra $45.
Deas was booked, cited for petty theft and released.
Police say non-student was driving stolen car
Police arrested a non-student in Parking Structure VI for auto theft on March 28.
Officers stopped Richard Wilson, 21, of the 1500 block of Angealus Avenue, at 10:15 p.m. on the first level of the structure because the car looked suspicious.
A records check showed the silver Oldsmobile Alero Wilson was driving was reported stolen from Alamo Rental Cars.
Wilson was taken into custody and booked into county jail.
