Pi Sigma Epsilon and Alpha Kappa Delta will present Budget Rallyat noon today on the Cultural Arts and Special Events stage in AztecCenter Patio.
The event will discuss the California financial crisis’ effect onthe California State University system. The greeks encourage studentsto attend and learn how to be politically active as well as to hearsome statistics involving the financial crisis and San Diego State.
The event is free and open to the public.
Basketball game will cause parking structuresto close
Due to the men’s basketball game at Cox Arena tomorrow night,parking structures IV and V will be closed to incoming traffic. PS IVwill be closed at 4:30 and PS V will be closed at noon.
To avoid inconveniences, students, faculty and staff areencouraged to park in the lots east of College Avenue. The EscortService and the Red and Black Shuttle will be providingtransportation to and from the east parking lots to the west side ofcampus.
Army to host clinics on soccer fields aroundthe county
The U.S. Army invades San Diego soccer fields and campuses thisweekend. “Goal Army – Play with the Pros” will offer free tips,drills, scrimmages, giveaways and sweepstakes with the U.S. Army andprofessional soccer player Bobby Rhine of the Dallas Burn. The Armyis recruiting San Diego college and high school players to dribble,pass, trap and shoot alongside the pros and receive hands-oninstruction. Players can choose from three different San Diegoclinics from Friday through Sunday. Admission is free and players cansign up at www.goalarmy.com.

Tibetan meditation master to speak oncampus
Dzogchen Khenpo Choga Rinpoche will speak from a Tibetan Buddhistviewpoint about preventing negative thinking and suffering at 7 p.m.,Nov. 17 in Geology/Mathematics/Computer Science 301. He is a Masterof Dzogchen mediation, which is supposed to make the state ofperfection underlying life accessible. Khenpo Choga has written morethan 30 books and has spent more than seven years in solitary caveretreats. The event is free of charge.
