Trespassing
Campus police responded to a report of a person sleeping in a women’s restroom in the Education building after 7:45 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25. The reporting party said the person was covered in a multi-colored blanket, and had possibly left some of their belongings in the men’s restroom. According to San Diego State Police Departments Cpl. Mark Peterson, officers were unable to locate either the person or their alleged belongings.
At 10:00 a.m. that same day, campus police were informed that several people refused to leave the third floor of the Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union. Police were told that the subjects were sleeping and loitering in the union, and had been asked to leave on several occasions over the preceding days. The subjects agreed to leave after being contacted by officers, Cpl. Peterson said.
Suspicious person
At 10:55 a.m. on Aug. 26, officers were informed that a woman was yelling at staff in the Student Union near the Habit grill. Officers were told this woman was seen several times, often leaving a shopping cart in the women’s restroom for extended periods. The reporting party also told officers the woman may have been using illegal drugs. Cpl. Peterson said officers did not observe any sign of drug use, although the person continued to create a disturbance. “(Officers) advised the subject of a one-week stay-away order from SDSU,” Peterson said.
Disturbing the peace
SDSUPD was called to investigate a report of a possible transient creating a disturbance by shouting at people passing by on College Square around 5 p.m. on Aug. 26 Cpl. Peterson said police determined the subject lived at a care facility and provided the subject with transportation back to this facility.
Battery
At 4 a.m.. on Saturday, Aug. 27, SDSUPD responded to a report of a person being urinated on by his roommate at the Maya residence hall. When officers arrived, it was determined the reported victim did not wish to pursue criminal charges, Peterson said.
Public intoxication
An SDSU student was reported to campus police at 11:00 p.m. on Aug.27 for taking off his pants while lying on the floor of the Starbucks in the Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union. The student was transported to Alvarado Hospital for intoxication.
Around midnight on Tuesday, Aug. 30, a caller told campus police a woman had gone into their unlocked car near the South Art Building and slept there. The woman was unresponsive when the caller found her but later left the scene in the direction of the Bioscience Center. Police were unable to locate the woman.
A male resident of the Zura hall was found unconscious, lying pant-less on the floor with vomit around him on Aug. 30. He was transported to Alvarado Hospital for intoxication.
