4:55 p.m. update: San Diego Police Sergeant Brian Sanders said the Toyota Corolla was waiting in the turn lane going into Parking Lots F and G. The motorcycle was traveling downhill towards Interstate 8 at an unknown speed when it hit the Corolla head on, sending the two motorcyclists over the car. The two motorcyclists, a man and a woman, sustained minor injuries.
4:35 p.m. update: Traffic is at normal rush-hour pace and a few police vehicles remain.
Original story: A head-on traffic collision on College Avenue brought rush-hour traffic to a screeching halt Wednesday afternoon near San Diego State.
The collision was in the turn lane going into Parking Lot G. A man who witnessed the crash said a Toyota Corolla was traveling southbound on College Avenue past Parking Structure 1 when a motorcycle hit the car head on.
The two people on the motorcycle were taken to the hospital. There is no word on their injuries at this time.
Commuters are advised to avoid the area at this time.
